How to create a project

A step-by-step guide on how to create a project on the platform

Step 1 - Data Hub: Upload data or collect review data

Step 1 - Data Hub: Upload data/collect review data

To create a project on the platform, you need data to analyse. Here you have 2 options:

1. Upload your own dataset

  1. Navigate to the 'Data Hub' and click 'Add data' > 'File Upload' to upload your own dataset
  2. Select the file from your computer
  3. Choose the column that contains the text. Your input file may have one or multiple columns with text data. Please select the appropriate columns for "text processing".
  4. Indicate if your file contains a date column. If yes, specify the date format
  5. Indicate if your file contains a language column
  6. Indicate if your file includes a rating column - either NPS score or star rating

Filter options

All columns (except for your text column) are added as filter options. Later you can filter your data based on these criteria. Filter options might include brand names, product names, source names, age groups, gender, city, or any other attributes that usually come as single-select or multi-select options.

Data Preview

By hovering your mouse over the blue "i" icon next to the column name, you can view the contents of that column as a reminder.

Step 2 - Set up project and start analysis

  1. Click 'Create new' or go to the 'Data Hub' and click 'Analyse' next to the dataset you want to use
  2. Provide a project name
  3. Select the language of your uploaded data. If needed, choose to translate data from one language to another(currently supported languages are: English, German and Spanish)
  4. Review and Confirm: Before starting the analysis you can review your project settings and make changes by clicking on the pencil icon next to each setting.
  5. Once your project is set up according to your preferences, click the "Create" button and get the text analytics engine started!
  6. When the analysis is complete, click View Insights to start exploring your results.

Step 3 - Add modules

Now you can start adding different analysis modules to your project. You can add as many modules as you'd like and also deactivate them if not needed.

- Topic & Sentiment Detection

- Sentiment Analysis

- Personality Traits

- Psychographic Segments

- Communication Style

- Brand Recommendation

- Ekman Emotions

- Rating Impact Analysis

- Verbatim Coding
